Summary of the ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing Virtual Meeting

On November 16, 2016, ATLA held a virtual meeting for current ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing participants and those interested in the program.

During the call, ATLA presented the proposed process for submitting reimbursement requests for lost items, discussed the marketing materials available for participants to use to promote the program to their patrons, and gave participants an opportunity to provide feedback and make suggestions for future improvements. Promote the ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing Program to New Students

As the new school year begins, we wanted to remind ATLA Institutional Members that they are eligible to participate in the ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing Program, an arrangement between participating North American Members to grant check-out privileges to each other’s patrons/students.

Reciprocal Borrowing Program: New Resources for Students

With over 60 participating libraries throughout the United States and Canada, the ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing Program‘s growth allows our members to meet the needs of their distance education students.

We have created resources for members and their patrons, including posters and bookmarks, to help them access materials from participating libraries. You may download the materials here. We also have a new map of libraries, which provides information on where students may check out materials.
