ATLA and the ATLA Scholarly Communication Committee have partnered with ACRL to host its popular roadshow event, “Scholarly Communication: From Understanding to Engagement,” for ATLA members. This day-long interactive workshop will take participants through scholarly communication fundamentals including publishing, copyright, and library outreach as well as provide deep dives into text and data mining issues for humanities research and open access and open education topics that are most relevant to the institutions served by ATLA member libraries. The workshop will be led by Carla Myers, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Scholarly Communications at Miami University Libraries, and Rachael Samberg, Scholarly Communication Officer at the University of California Berkeley.
