On Wednesday, May 16, ATLA will be hosting a one-day meeting of the Chicago Code4Lib chapter. This event, to be held in the building’s eighth floor conference center, brings together a range of professionals engaged with technology in libraries.
This event is free to attend. The program will involve a mix of lightning talks, panel talks, and possibly some break-outs. This is a great opportunity for two organizations to learn about each other, for ATLA to encourage our tech-minded members to get involved with other library organizations, and for Chicago-area librarians and programmers to share their latest news.
ATLA members in the area are welcome to attend just a session or two or the whole day if they’re interested. Also, we invite you to share this event with anyone you think might be interested.
Call for Presenters
If you have a technical project that you’ve been working on, some developmental code, a beta version of whatever, a new feature or ideal tool for a library website/catalog and would like to share it in a lightning talk, please contact Andy Carter, ATLA Digital Projects Manager. He can talk to you about the idea, the presentation, or any other questions you might have.
