The Chicago-Area Theological Library Association (CATLA) will be meeting on November 2 at the Chicago Theological Seminary. This fall’s conference theme is “Digitization Projects in Your Library: Getting Started, and Moving Forward Build.” CATLA will be building on the digital library them from the Spring 2018 conference that featured ATLA’s Andy Carter and the ATLA Digital Library project.
Librarians and archivists will be sharing their experience with digital library projects. Speakers include Sarah Stanley, Special Collections Librarian and Assistant Professor of Library Science, Wheaton College; Karl Stutzman, Director of Library Services, Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary; and Charles Heinrich, Archives Technician, The Archdiocese of Chicago. The parallel sessions are designed to provide an opportunity for members to discuss digital initiatives whether they’re already in the midst of one or don’t even know how to get started.
